About
Combining a passion for the natural world with evidence-based therapeutic practice to create a unique healing environment where authenticity, resilience, and growth flourish.
About Grace (she/her)
I have bachelor degrees in community-based Psychology and Human Rights & Public Policy from the University of Washington. I attended Seattle University for my master's in couples and family therapy. I am a lifelong student, from both traditional and non-traditional means. Like my intersectional education, my approach to therapy is deeply rooted in an understanding of interconnectedness.
I believe that healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and with the natural world that surrounds us. I bring a unique perspective to my practice, combining traditional therapeutic training with insights gained from my background in wildlife naturalist studies and human rights advocacy. This combination allows me to offer a therapeutic experience that honors both the complexity of human relationships and our fundamental need for connection and belonging.
When I'm not with clients, I'm probably exploring the PNW forests, mountains, waterways, and oceans with my family. I'm an avid knitter, home chef, animal lover, and gardener and land steward. If you catch me sitting, I'm probably enjoying a book by Dr. Sue Johnson, Dr. John Bowlby, or one of their many predecessors or successors.
My Learning Journey
Couple & Family Therapy
My Associate License in Marriage & Family Therapy provides me with a foundation in systemic approaches, family dynamics, and evidence-based interventions. I view my education and learning as ongoing and infinite.
Wildlife Naturalist Studies
My in-depth background in wildlife naturalist studies might seem unconventional for a therapist, but it has profoundly shaped my understanding of belonging, connection, resilience, and natural healing processes.
Human Rights & Systemic Justice
My commitment to human rights isn't separate from my therapeutic practice—it's integral to it. Everything my clients bring to therapy is welcome, and I'm here to support your journey in how you make sense of it all.
Ongoing Training & Specializations
Continuous learning is a core value of mine, both in terms of providing my clients with the knowledge-base they need, as well as expanding my own. I regularly pursue additional training to better serve my clients. Here are some areas of specialized training I'm currently pursuing:
